Robert M. Behrendt joined Kilgore + Kilgore in 2005 after practicing with a large, Dallas-based defense firm. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1999. As a litigator, Mr. Behrendt has handled a wide variety of commercial, employment, and intellectual property matters. A Dallas native and graduate of St. Mark’s School of Texas, Mr. Behrendt holds an A.B. degree in classics from Brown University and a postgraduate Diploma in Classical Archaeology from the University of Cambridge in England (where he was a member of St. Catharine’s College). He earned his J.D. degree from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, where he was an Articles Editor of the SMU Law Review and a member of the International Law Society. Before attending law school, Mr. Behrendt was a teacher of English and Latin and coach at independent schools in Georgia and New York.
